No details are available on the morphology of virions. 

Nucleic acid

Genome (R. Tokarz and WI Lipkin, unpublished): 7,018 nt (5′-UTR: >248 nt; ORF: 6,669 nt; 3′-UTR: 101 nt). The location of the cre has not been identified.

The deduced polyprotein is of 2,223 amino acids. There is no L protein.

No virus has been isolated. Viral RNA was detected in samples of cattle (Bos taurus).
