MSL40, the 2024-2025 ICTV taxonomy release is now available
The new, 2024 ICTV taxonomy is now available through our taxonomy browser at https://ictv.global/taxonomy. This new version of Master Species List #40 is also available for download as an Excel Spreadsheet.
MSL40 contains taxonomic changes approved by the ICTV Executive Committee in July, 2024 and ratified by the ICTV Membership in February 2025. A paper describing this release is being prepared.
Official taxonomy proposals documenting these and all other taxonomic changes approved by the ICTV can be found at https://ictv.global/Official_ICTV_Proposals.htm.
