ICTV Virus Knowledgebase Zenodo Repositories
The code and data that drives much of the ICTV web site, database, and downloadable spreadsheets have been assigned a DOI by and are available from our Zenodo Community, International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV):
https://zenodo.org/communities/ictv/
Available repositories include:
ICTV Master Species List (MSL). Spreadsheet release containing the official, current virus taxonomy approved by the ICTV. Same as what is available from https://ictv.global/msl.
ICTV Virus Metadata Resource (VMR). Spreadsheet release containing the current list of sequenced virus exemplars and additional isolates for each virus species, these being examples of well-characterized virus isolates of that species. Same as what is available from https://ictv.global/vmr.
ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTVdatabase: Data and Schema from the website of the International Committee on the Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) https://ICTV.global. This database contains the current official taxonomy, down to the rank of species, as well as all the historical taxonomy from previous years. The taxa are linked across years (technically, Master Species List (MSL) releases), changes are linked to the supporting official documents that describe the rationales behind the changes. This represents the current release also available from GitHub: https://github.com/ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTVdatabase.
ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTV-Drupal: Custom Drupal modules that enhance the ICTV website. This represents the current release also available from GitHub: https://github.com/ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTV-Drupal.
ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTVproposalprocessor: R code to QC and load taxonomic proposals into the ICTVdatabase. This represents the current release also available from GitHub: https://github.com/ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTVproposalprocessor.
ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTVtaxablast: This is a set of tools to extract data from the Virial Metadata Resource(VMR) published by the ICTV and build a query-by-sequence BLAST database and application (TaxaBLAST: https://ictv.global/search/taxablast. This represents the current release also available from GitHub: https://github.com/ICTV-Virus-Knowledgebase/ICTVtaxablast.
