MSL41, the 2025-2026 ICTV taxonomy release is now available
The new, 2025 ICTV taxonomy is now available through our taxonomy browser at https://ictv.global/taxonomy. This new version of Master Species List #41 is also available for download as an Excel Spreadsheet.
This MSL is also archived on Zenodo with the DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19154110
MSL41 contains taxonomic changes approved by the ICTV Executive Committee in August, 2025 and ratified by the ICTV Membership in February 2026. A paper describing this release is being prepared.
