On March 11, 2025 we held a webinar that provided an overview of the tools and resources available on the ICTV Website and provided information about viruses and their taxonomy as well as how to search for that information. The tools demonstrated included the virus Taxonomy Browsers, Master Species List, Virus Metadata Resource, and the new Find the Species tool. In addition, web site features that provide descriptive information on virus biology and their genetic and physical properties were discussed. These include ICTV Report chapters, taxonomy proposals, histories of all virus taxa, the etymology of taxon names, the virus physical properties table, and virion diagrams.
